spring meeting reaches all-time high attendance
A record number of attendees gathered in Boca Raton Florida in April for NARA’s annual Spring Meeting. The largest attendance in the Association’s history testified to the steady growth that NARA has experienced over the last several years.

The mood was upbeat as the general consensus was that the pre-owned market was in a good state of recovery and that sales activity was continuing to improve. NARA members continue to oversee about 20% of the total number of pre-owned turbine aircraft transactions each year.

Representatives from nearly all of NARA’s 100+ members enjoyed three days of presentations from a broad range of aviation experts and business consultants, covering everything from the latest aircraft sales trends and legislative and tax issues, to teambuilding and customer service.

Presentations by NARA members and others covered, among other topics, the Cape Town Convention and Aircraft Protocol and the American Jobs Creation Act of 2004’s limitations on the deductibility of private aircraft expenses.

“The Spring meeting exceeded all of our expectations,” said NARA President Susan Sheets. “Not only were the members able to network and learn from our wonderful slate of speakers: they were equipped to help their clients navigate the intricacies of the ever-changing regulatory and tax laws.
