All candidates for NARA membership must be sponsored by three current members for consideration. A sponsorship consists of a letter written by the sponsor, supporting the nominee in question. A sponsor for a Dealer/Broker candidate is required to solicit two other Dealer/Broker Members to also sponsor the candidate. In the case of an Associate Member candidate, one Dealer/Broker and two Associate members are required to sponsor the candidate. The NARA Executive Committee formally approves the nomination for appropriate applications that have been reviewed by the NARA Membership Committee. All NARA members then vote upon the nominee. Once approved, the candidate is informed in writing by the sponsor and contacted by NARA as well.
